Dress Code

The Dress Code includes all participants involved in the school system - students, parents or guardians, volunteers, teachers and other staff members - whether they are on school property, school buses or attending school authorized events or activities.

All clothing should be suitable for active participation in daily school programs with an emphasis on learning and respect for self and others.

Students are required to have a pair of running shoes designed for safe, active participation in the gym.


* No revealing clothing

* No exposed undergarments

* No bare midriffs

* No spaghetti straps

* Clothing that promotes alcohol, drugs, sex or violence is not permitted

* Profanity, slang or put-downs may not be displayed on any clothing or accessories

* No bare or sock feet

* Footwear should be appropriate for safe participation in all types of school activities and recess

* Skirts, dresses and shorts must be worn at appropriate lengths (no shorter than mid-thigh)

* Hats should be removed when in school. The only head gear that is acceptable is head covering required for medical, religious or instructional reasons


Students who come to school dressed inappropriately will be asked to remedy the situation.

Parents will be notified of inappropriate dress.
